I'm a little behind in my Bird A Week Challenge. But, here goes...
This pendant is made from primarily copper clay. I really enjoy working with copper. The patina on the flower was created by using a small butane torch.
This is one of my favorite birds yet! It was made with PMC3 (fine silver).
I started this bird a couple of weeks ago but got stuck on what to do with it. I wanted it to be a pin, but I was having trouble soldering the parts on the back. I was being very persistent, but nothing was working, so I made it into a pendant. My challenge to myself on this piece, beside soldering, was the rivets. I really need a beefier hammer to make the process a little faster. It was fun.
