I was really attracted to the "Fly" pendant. It resonated with me on some level. The other focal I have yet to do anything with. I did, however, utilize the polymer clay bead that was attached to it. I used some of my own beads, bronze rings, and chain to create my design. The clasp is attached to the chain with sari ribbon which makes it adjustable. So, here it is...
I used the little brass tag (above right) and silk sari ribbon from the packaging. |
If you'd like a chance to win this beautiful pendant, please post a comment with your email address. The winner will be revealed on April 20th.
The list of names below represents the members of the second reveal. Stop by their blogs to see what they cooked up with their soup ingredients...

Your necklace is lovely - the sari ribbon adds the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The ribbon needed to be used. It matched the colors of the beads so well.

ReplyDeletetofallorstumbleupon@live.com
Thanks Brandi. My aesthetic is usually pretty simple and clean. Working with the sari silk was a little outside of my comfort zone, but I really like it.
DeleteGorgeous necklace - love the use of the sari ribbon with the chain and pendant! Lovely piece!
ReplyDeleteThanks EB. I love the sari ribbon too. I bought some a year or so ago and have yet to use it. I think now I might have some ideas...
DeleteLove this piece, so unique!
ReplyDeleteThanks PiPa!
DeleteVery sweet, and simply lovely! A great spring piece. Kristin Oppold
ReplyDeleteThe birds are back - maybe that was what made me feel that the "Fly" focal must be utilized in this pendant. I still have the other focal and hope to get it incorporated into something real soon!

Thank you Jo. I wish you well. This was really fun. I hope to do it again. It was my first time. It's nice to connect with so many people from all over the world. We sit in our little studios, isolated from the world. This is a safe, yet nice diversion.
DeleteThe colors, materials, and design are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Libellula!!!
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful, love love the butterfly.
ReplyDeleteI so loved it too! It really spoke to me and had to be THEEE focal. I hope to make something with the rest of the beads and the other focal very soon. Thanks for your kind words.
DeleteFun design...it has a very organic feel.
ReplyDeletemommysdream@gmail.com
Organic is kind of my vibe, with a bit of control, if you know what I mean. I can't help the OCD. I was born with it. Thanks!
