New Love - Copper Clay

While my folks were here I took the opportunity to teach my mom a little about copper clay. It was my first time working with it as well. It was so wonderful to work with - much more soft and supple than silver clay. It did crack very easily as it dried though, but I found it much easier to reconstitute. My mom was quite successful at making a pair of earrings, a ring and a necklace. We didn't have time to finish the pieces while she was here, so I finished them for her today. Here's a peek...
